Is soláthar iar-bhunscoile ilchreidmheach, 11-19, uile-ábaltachta, comhoideachais, lán-Ghaeilge é Gaelcholáiste Dhoire a ghlac an chéad iontógáil daltaí isteach i Meán Fómhair 2015.

Aithníonn Gaelcholáiste Dhoire saintréithe, mianach agus dínit gach dalta. Tá éiteas lán-Ghaeilge agus Gaelach ag an Ghaelcholáiste ina bhfuil luach leis an Ghaeilge mar chuid dár n-oidhreacht agus mar bhealach le forbairt oideachasúil agus phearsanta ár ndaltaí a shaibhriú agus a neartú. Dála ár bhfile mór áitiúil, Seamus Heaney, amharcaimid ar an teanga mar rud atá riachtanach don fhéintuiscint, don chomhthuiscint, don fhorbairt samhlaíochta agus don iléagsúlacht chultúrtha.

Tá tiomantas ag Gobharnóirí agus foireann an Ghaelcholáiste i leith oideachas den scoth a sholáthar a riarann ar mhianaidhmeanna agus ar riachtanais na ndaltaí uilig in atmaisféar dearfach muinteartha a shaibhríonn iad ar bhonn daonna agus spioradálta araon. Is é an aidhm atá againn ná daoine fásta óga dea-oilte a fhorbairt atá muiníneach as a bhfiúntas féin, neamhspleách agus ildánach agus a bhfuil na scileanna agus luachanna acu le haghaidh a thabhairt ar dhúshláin na sochaí atá ag síorathrú.

Tá Gaelcholáiste Dhoire ina scoil phobail a chothóidh naisc láidre leis an phobal Gaeloideachais áitiúil agus leis an phobal i gcoitinne. Is cuí gur i suíomh taibhseach Chaisleán Dhún Geimhin a bheadh soláthar tábhachtach agus speisialta oideachais mar seo lonnaithe.

Gaelcholáiste Dhoire is a multi-denominational, 11-19, all-ability, coeducational, Irish-medium, post-primary provision which welcomed its first intake of pupils in September 2015. Gaelcholáiste Dhoire is child-centred, with the focus on maximising the potential of each and every child. The teaching of the curriculum and the teaching methodologies employed are tailored to each and every child, based on a full appraisal of the needs and abilities of each pupil in consultation with their primary school.

Gaelcholáiste Dhoire recognises the uniqueness, inherent worth and dignity of each pupil. The Gaelcholáiste has an Irish-medium and Gaelic ethos which values the Irish language as part of our heritage and as a means of enriching and enhancing the educational and personal development of our pupils. Like our local Nobel Laureat, Seamas Heaney, we regard the Irish language as essential to self-understanding, mutual understanding, imaginative enhancement and cultural diversity.

The Governors and staff of the Gaelcholáiste are committed to delivering an excellent education which meets the aspirations and needs of all pupils in a positive and happy family atmosphere which is both rich in human and spiritual facilities. Our aim is to develop well-rounded young adults who are confident in their own worth, independent and versatile and who are equipped with the skills and values to meet the challenges of a changing society.

The impressive site and surroundings of Dungiven Castle are fitting for such an important and unique educational provision.
