Rinne muid ceiliúradh ar Sheachtain Mhata na hÉireann le déanaí sa Ghaelcholáiste. Cé go bhfuil an Mata ina chuid lárnach de gach lá scoile anseo, shocraigh muid níos mó béime a chur ar an uimhearthacht le linn na seachtaine seo. Déantar ceiliúradh ar an seachtain seo fud fad na hÉireann le tábhacht an Mhata sa gnáthshaol a léiriú. Bhí trathnóna tomhas réitithe (puzzle solving) againn agus bhí neart fadhbanna le fuascailt acu, cuid acu a bhí píosa beag ró-dheacair dár le na páistí!
We celebrated Irish Maths Weeks in Gaelcholáiste Dhoire recently. Numeracy is a vital component of every school day here but we decided to further emphasize the use of Maths during this week. Maths week is celebrated across the island to highlight the importance of numeracy in everyday life. The pupils took part in a Maths afternoon during which they had to solve a few very complex problems. Some of them were a little too complex for their liking according to the pupils!
